How Many Homebuilders Are There?
At the end of 2011, there were 26 traditional home building companies (pulled 5 or more permits for single-family, detached homes in 2011) in Southern Nevada, compared with 32 at the end of 2010; 26 at the end of 2009; 38 at the end of 2008, 47 at the end of 2007, and 77 at the end of 2006. The historic high was 179 homebuilders in 1996.
